Top Ten Things to do for the 4th of July in Kern County
We all know the weather here in Bakersfield is absolutely unbearable this time of year. Triple digit temperatures, no rain, and no wind, make for a rough Summer day! That’s why I have a GREAT list of the TOP 10 things to do in Kern County on the 4th of July! Events 1-8 are just a short drive up the hill, in much cooler weather in Tehachapi, California. Events 9-10 are located right here in Bakersfield. You can beat the heat (and the sweat) by treating yourself and your family to a drive to Tehachapi. There are so many great places to eat in Tehachapi as well. My personal favorite is Red House BBQ on Tehachapi BLVD, ran by Mano Lujan. They have delicious food, including Indian Fry Bread. If you go, let me know how you liked it!
