I specialize exclusively in Fine Art School Photography, creating timeless portraits that celebrate childhood with authenticity, warmth, and intention. My goal is simple: to create a picture day experience where every child feels comfortable, valued, and free to be themselves.
Photography has been my passion since 2014, but my approach is rooted in much more than the camera. With a Bachelor of Arts in Child, Adolescent & Family Studies and experience teaching preschool, first grade, and fifth grade, I understand that every child develops differently. That perspective shapes every interaction I have on picture day, allowing me to meet children where they are and capture genuine expressions that reflect who they truly are.
Based in Bakersfield and proudly serving schools throughout California, I partner with preschools and elementary schools to provide a picture day experience that's organized, child-centered, and enjoyable for students, staff, and families alike. From our first conversation to gallery delivery, I'm committed to making the process seamless while creating beautiful portraits that families will treasure for generations.

Hey there! I’m Heather.
I'm the one behind the camera, and I'd be honored to partner with your school. Since 2014, I've had the privilege of photographing thousands of children, and over the years I've discovered that my true passion is creating fine art school portraits that celebrate each child's unique personality.
My approach is simple: every child deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely seen. I create a calm, relaxed environment where authentic expressions come naturally—no rushed sessions, no forced smiles, just timeless portraits that reflect who each child truly is.
Picture day should be a positive experience for everyone involved. That's why I work closely with schools to ensure the day is organized, efficient, and enjoyable for students, staff, and families alike. A little conversation, a few laughs, and plenty of patience go a long way in helping children feel at ease in front of the camera.
Whether I'm photographing a preschooler's very first school portrait or an eighth grader's final elementary school picture, my goal is always the same: to create beautiful, meaningful images that families will treasure for generations.

Hi there! I’m Patrick!
I'm Heather's assistant, resident "Guy Friday," and, most importantly, her husband. While you may see me helping out on picture day from time to time, much of my work happens behind the scenes, supporting Heather however I can and helping keep things running smoothly.
Whether I'm hauling equipment, lending an extra hand during setup, or simply cheering Heather on, my goal is the same—to help create a positive experience for the schools, families, and children we have the privilege of serving.
